What is "Comb Filter"?

Comb Filter
The special coloration of a sound that occurs when combining a signal with a delayed replica of itself is called comb filtering. This is because the frequency response looks like a comb with peaks and dips.

It can occur when two or more microphones at various distances from the sound source are open and a level difference between the output of the microphones is less than 10 dB.
